[Class 38 (iii).] Starting-apparatus for a direct-current motor A comprises an inductance coil H connected in series with the armature of the motor, and constituted by the series field winding of a stationary series-wound direct-current motor A<1>, the main switches C, C<1>, and C2, C<3>, for the respective motors being interlocked to prevent simultaneous closure.
