402,314. Drawing operations in preparing fibres for spinning. JACOBS, G., 172, Hauptstrasse, Rheydt, Rhineland, Germany. March 31, 1933, No. 9746. Convention date, April 9, 1932. Drawings to Specification. [Classes 120 (i) and 120 (iii).] Animal fibres and substitutes therefor are formed into rovings by subjecting the card slivers to a drawing action without doubling and then to two subsequent drawing actions with multifold doubling, the slivers being transferred direct to each succeeding frame from the spinning cans of the previous frame and from the last drawing frame to a roving frame. The drawing frames are arranged side by side and are operated from a common drive.
