June 16, 1932, No. 17025. [Class 106 (iv).] Multiple-indication apparatus.-An indicating device, particularly for weighing-apparatus, of the type having a chart 9 provided with weight and /or price or other indications and a reading line, is provided with a transparent member (for example a coloured glass strip 5) through which the unit price numerals on a plate 11 are visible, but which does not form a sighting passage for observation of the reading line 8 and chart indications, and is also provided with a clear section or aperture 7 arranged above the transparent member 5 and being of small depth so as to restrict the angle of vision and avoid errors due to parallax in reading the chart. As shown, the narrow section 7 is formed in a glass panel frosted at the upper part 3. A plano-cylindrical lens 10 is carried adjacent the chart by the plate 11 which bears the row of price numerals along its lower edge. A lamp 18 illuminates the price strip and drum readings. Instead of employing a separate coloured strip 5, the lower part of the glass panel may be coloured.
