[Class 126.] The back brick of an incandescent gas fire is provided with a closed pocket d at the rear of a flange b<1> into which the tops of the radiants extend, the gases passing to the flue over the front of the flange. The back shown is made in lower and upper parts a, b, the flange b<1> being formed on the upper section, and the lower having stepped faces c .. c<3> with projections g which support the fuel.
