Abstract

399,696. Cartridge belts. LAHTI, A. J., Valtion Kivaõritehdas, Jyvõskylõ, Finland. Feb. 1, 1933, No. 3113. [Class 92 (ii).] Relates to machinegun cartridge belts of the kind formed of metal links, each having a pair of clips 1b, 1c on one side, and on the other side a single clip 1a which enters between the pair of clip on a neighbouring link, the links being hinged together independently of the cartridges by a sleeve which passes through the clips on adjacent links. According to the invention, the sleeve 2 extends only through the clips 1c, 1a instead of through all three clips 1a, 1b, 1c, as heretofore. In the form shown the sleeve 2 is a cylindrical and preferably resilient bush retained in place by a projection 2a on the bush engaging a recess 1e in the clip 1c or vice versa. The clip 1b is made resilient to grip the cartridge.
