399,496. Gas-masks &c. SADD, J. A., Chemical Defence Experimental Station, Porton, Wiltshire. March 24, 1932, No. 23111/33. Divided on 399,197, [Group V]. [Class 81 (ii).] Gas - masks, respirators, and the like are so formed as to cause the whole of the inspired air to pass across eye-pieces in series in order to remove moisture therefrom. As shown, the mask a is formed with a flexible partition c dividing the mask into upper and lower chambers d, f. An air inlet h is provided near the outer side of one eye-piece e, preferably arranged to admit air tangentially, and an outlet i to the chamber f is formed in the partition c adjacent the lower edge of the other eye-piece.
