399,251. Gulley-covers; gratings. HENDERSON, R. R., Meadowfield, Airdrie, Lanarkshire. May 6, 1932, No. 13088. [Class 107.] A gulley-cover comprises a threesided rectangular frame let into a pavement 3 with its open side adjacent the roadway and coinciding with a gap 6 in the associated concrete kerb 5, the frame being covered by a hinged lid 8 overhanging the gap in the kerb, which is spanned by spaced bars 7 constituting the grating. The lid is mounted on pins 9 disposed at the junction of the side members 1 and end member 2 of the frame and the free edge of the lid is substantially coplanar with the vertical face of the kerb.
