Abstract

[Class 40 (v).] An ultra-short-wave oscillator is modulated by applying the signal voltage to an inner grid Gm. The oscillator is of the type employing a positivelycharged grid G and an anode A with small negative voltage, the frequency being dependent on the time of electron oscillation within the valve. A further shielding grid Gs, held at a fixed positive voltage, may be interposed between the grids G, Gm.
