Abstract
397,905. Folding bedsteads. SANDY, R. G., 30, Drakefield Road, Upper Tooting, London. March 2, 1932, No. 6311. [Class 52 (ii).] A camp bed comprises two or more Y- or V-shaped transverse end frames, Fig. 1, between which are disposed two or more troughshaped frames, Fig. 2, all the frames having means c for detachably supporting rigid longitudinal members which carry fabric or like sheets. The Y-shaped frames comprise struts b, hinged to a central peg a adapted to be driven into the ground, ro to a baseboard n, Fig. 4, which rests on the floor. The troughshaped frames comprise two struts e hinged to a base f. A form of Y frame for a double bed is provided with additional struts b<1>, Fig. 5, hinged to the main struts b and with additional hinged legs b<2> The longitudinal members are inserted in hems at the sides of the canvas sheet, the fabric being cut away where the clips c engage the longitudinal members.
