Abstract

339,894. Hokanson, A. E., and Wells, E. G. March 1, 1930. Folding bedsteads.-A collapsa,ble framework for cots and other devices, of the kind comprising a collapsable X-frame as described in Specification 324,668, has longitudinally disposed members 14 hinged to each end of the X-frame barmembers 11, 12 so that they may be collapsed thereon. The hinges for the longitudinal members may be of the kind described in Specification 324,314. The X-frame members 11 and 12 may be combined with another X-frame 22, 23 to form a cot frame or camp bath, the lower longitudinals 15, 16 being hinged to both frames while the upper longitudinals 14, 17 are screwpin joined to the ends of the second frame. The cot proper is a shaped piece of fabric provided with pockets 29 for the reception of the longitudinal side bars and with removable spaced lath stiffeners 35. A cot cover may be supported on removable supports 32 clamped to the sides of the cot frame.
