Folding bedsteads.-In a collapsable cot or bedstead, the side members a, b and c, d are hinged together at r, and are also hinged to the end frames i, k, the hinges r' for two diagonally opposite corners being situated actually at those corners but the hinges r<11> for the remaining diagonally opposite corners being at some dis. tance from the actual corner. This enables the cot to be folded in the zig-zag manner shown in Fig. 3. The bars u, sand t are preferably so spaced that, when the cot is folded, they lie behind one another, leaving spaces v, backed by a three-ply member k, for holding bedding &c. Telescopic legs m, and a folding mattress may be provided.
