Abstract
387,043. Combined beds and tent frames. HARGREAVES, T. F., 28, Southampton Buildings, London.-(Mager, L. ; 8, Graimbergweg, Heidelberg, Baden, Germany.) Oct. 9, 1931, No. 28148. [Class 20 (i).] A tent combined with collapsable field beds in which the beds, or series of beds, are separated by a space, has the inner posts of the beds connected by stays, the posts being provided with ground plates. The horizontal bars 1, 2 for the bedding material 3, 4 are formed with socketed ends which are superposed and through which, and sleeves 8, pass the corner posts 6. The sets of beds are connected at their inner top corners by stretchers 11 and the ends of the top beds and the spaces between are spaced by bow pieces 13 to support the tent covering material. The bows 13 at the ends of the beds are of the same length as the bars 1 of the beds, while the bows 13 between the sets of beds are formed in two parts, each as long as the other bows, so that the bars may be readily packed. The lower ends of the corner posts are fitted with flat plates 9 to bear on the ground.
