Abstract

534,083. Folding camp-beds. ROSS, C. J. Aug. 25, 1939, Nos. 24548 and 24705. [Class 52 (iii)] A folding camp-bed comprises two rectangular frames 10, 15 united at the shorter sides by pivots 19, 20 and carrying canvas or other flexible material 21, the relative sizes of the frames being such that in the collapsed position shown in Fig. 2 one frame lies within the other. Bracing members 23, 24 may be provided, the member 23 having dowelled ends to permit it to be sprung out of the frame 10 when the bed is to be folded. A bolt and wing nut 40 unite the bracing members. In a modified bracing means, the ends of the bracing members are removably attached to the rectangular frames by T-section slides ; the lower ends of the bracing members may rest on the ground. Short legs may be provided on the rectangular frames for use on rough ground.
