Abstract

397,389. Rotary pumps. SHORT, W. J., 5, Hermiston Avenue, Hornsey, London. Feb. 23, 1933, No. 5516. [Class 110 (ii).] A rotary pump or compressor comprises a disc c having two pistons attached to its periphery which revolve in an annular chamber a of a casing, and a rotary abutment disc d driven by gearing g<1>, g<2> off the main shaft, containing two elongated holes through which the pistons pass. The disc lies at about 30‹ to the plane of the working chamber, which is provided with two inlets and two outlets, the latter being fitted with non-return valves. The working- chamber may be other than circular. Specification 388,342 is referred to.
