Abstract
397,135. Crank shafts ; securing wheels, propellers, &c. to shafts. OMNIUM METALLURGIQUE & INDUSTRIEL (MOTEURS CHAISE), 34. Rue Auguste Lancon, Paris. Feb. 18, 1933, No. 5099. Convention date, Feb. 18, 1932. [Class 80 (ii).] Driving pins or dowels 5 are located partly in recesses in the ends of the pin 1 and partly in recesses in the sides of the arms 7, the parts being held together by a bolt 13 and nut 14. In place of the bolt screwed studs 18 integral with the pin may be used, Fig. 4 ; or the pin may have one stud and be integral with one of the arms. A wheel 27 may be secured on the end of a shaft 26, as shown in Fig. 6 ; in the case of a propeller 29, Fig. 7, the hub 30 and a shaft 26 are secured by a hollow bolt 31. Devices are described for disassembling the various combinations. The dowels 5 may be integral with the arms 7 ; or be replaced by balls fitting into hemi-spherical recesses.
