Abstract
396,035. Friction clutches. FIAT SOC. ANON., 250, Via Nizza, Turin, Italy. Oct. 23, 1931, No. 29493. Convention date, Oct. 30, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 80 (ii).] In order to reduce play and wear between the declutching-levers 9 and presser-ring 7 of a motor-vehicle &c. clutch, the operative end 9<1> of each lever is shaped to be in constant engagement with both walls of a housing in the ring. These housings are formed by radial slots 13 in projecting parts 14 of the ring 7 and by metal cover-plates 15, which engage apertures 17 in a steel-plate disc 8 secured to the flywheel 1 and so serve as driving-keys for the ring. The invention is applicable to clutches other than the single-driven-plate type shown.
