Abstract
207,435. Robinson, R. M., and Bradley, J. Feb. 7, 1923. Clutches, friction for motor cars, aeroplanes, &c. The fly-wheel 3 is loosely mounted on the clutch housing 52 and is driven from the power shaft through elastic means. The clutch housing is formed with an inturned flange 51<z>, fitting the power shaft 1. A spider 21 with arms 20 is secured between the flange 51<z> and a flange 12 on the shaft 1 by bolts 4. Springs 10 are interposed between the arms 20 and lugs 8 on the fly-wheel.
