Abstract

395,392. Shop fronts. BROWN, G., 3, Suffolk Road, Barnes, London. Jan. 8, 1932, No. 617. Addition to 354,984 and 366,393.' [Class 20 (iii).] Shop fronts having reflection nullifying windows as described in the parent Specifications, are provided with a light-absorbing surface 6 extending horizontally above the window and preferably formed by a single or double canvas or like roller blind, with or without a valence or valences. The blinds may be supported by an end bar 8 and side bars 13. An additional bottom light-absorbing surface 17 may be provided, as shown, when two curved panes 14, 15 meeting at a cusp 16 are employed. The Provisional Specification describes also a window having a low plinth and wherein the upper part is glazed with a curved pane and the lower part with a plain vertical pane of glass. The two panes may be combined in one continuous sheet.
