Abstract

[Class 39 (iii).] A boiling-stove for use with vessels having a rounded bottom comprises a casing I enclosing a heating element C and having a top formed by an annular plate E surrounding a central disc A and connected there. with in balanced relation so that when a vessel is placed on the disc the latter will sink and the annular plate rises. The switch H controlling the heating element is automatically operated by this movement. A lip B on the disc prevents the heating element from damage by liquid spilt on the disc. An asbestos ring F fitted to the plate E makes a joint with the vessel being heated.
