Abstract
394,601. Making turbine parts; drilling. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, ET CIE, Baden, Switzerland. Jan. 9, 1933, No. 771. Convention date, Jan. 8, 1932. [Classes 83 (ii) and 83 (iii).] In a nozzle body 1 for steam &c. turbines, the nozzle passages 2 are cut, at least on the outlet side in a rectangular form out of heatresisting material by drills which are guided in the direction of the steam passage. The passage on the inlet side may be formed conical by a milling cutter. Passages are formed in the nozzle bodies so that cooling medium may be circulated. Circular channels 12, 13 are cut and closed by welded-on plates 14, 15. The cooling circuit is completed by radial bores 19, 20 and a transverse bore 17.
