Abstract

407,627. Turbines. AKT. - GES. BROWN, BOVERI, ET CIE, Baden, Switzerland. Sept. 30, 1933, No. 26973. Convention date, Oct. 12, 1932. [Class 110 (iii).] Blades with a screw shank have their edges bent inwards to permit screwing in to the rotor and thereafter the edges are bent back to the proper form. The inlet edge 1 of blade 2 is shown so bent in, while blade 3 shows the edges bent back to the proper form. Spacing discs of the necessary thickness are inserted at the bottom of the threaded rotor apertures to ensure positioning of the blades and spot welding 5 further secures the blades in such position.
