Abstract

394,068. Vices. VOUCHER, Ltd., 65, Upper Bridge Street, LAVENDER, F. H. R., Skip Lane, and GIBSON, A. H., 110, Birmingham Road, all in Walsall. Feb. 20, 1932, No. 5074. [Class 61 (ii).] A work-holding jaw comprises. an angled member 1 having horizontal and vertical surfaces 2, 8, the vertical surface being gapped to receive a series of loose plates 4 which, after adjustment to the approximate contour of the work, are locked by screws 7 in a cover plate 5. Some of the plates may be advanced to embrace the upper and lower sides of the work. The jaw may co-operate with a similar jaw, or with a plain jaw or abutment. The work-contacting edges of the plates may be serrated, recessed or otherwise shaped.
