Abstract

829,140. Kerbs. FARRELL, J. C., and HASLAM, T. R. May 20, 1958 [June 3, 1957], No. 17530/57. Class 107 Reflectors 13 directed at an angle to the line of the kerb are set in the two end surfaces 10, 11 of a projection 9 formed in the bevelled surface 2 on the upper road-facing edge of the kerb stone 1, these end surfaces converging towards the centre of the road and also upwardly. The side surface 12 of the projection slopes slightly-away from the road, the reflectors may be directed upwardly, and the roadside face 6 may be splayed as shown in broken lines. The end surfaces may be formed with sockets to receive cementedin metal stirrups on the reflectors.
