Abstract
Artificial structures, such as artificial silk, and horse-hair, of matt or dull appearance are obtained from cuprammonium cellulose solutions containing finely divided tin oxide which has been made by the direct combustion of tin in oxygen. The proportion of tin oxide added to the spinning solution is preferably from 3 to 6 per cent of the weight of the cellulose and the granules may be of an average size of 1 to 3 microns.
