Abstract

393,723. Coating with metals. METALLISATOR BERLIN AKT.- GES., 30, Lahnstrasse, Neuk÷lln, Berlin. March 21, 1932, No. 8420. Convention date, March 19, 1931. [Class 82 (ii).] In a metal-spraying device comprising a tubular guide 23, Fig. 2, for metal wire, a concentric nozzle 21 for the combustion gases, and an outer concentric nozzle 25 for the atomizing gas, the head 8 of the nozzle has a direct bearing on the casing 3 and the channels 32, 33, 34, Fig. 3, for mixing the combustion gases are formed in one half of the bearing surface, while the ports 39a for the passage of the atomizing gas, and a positioning-pin 11a, are formed in the other half. The channels are concentric and the passages in the casing which conduct the oxygen and fuel gases communicate with the inner ends of radial extensions 36, 36a of the channel 32. A mixing chamber 35 is formed at the junction of the channel 34 with this channel, and the mixed gases pass through ports 37 at the ends of the channel 33 into the annular chamber 38 at the front side of the head 8. The atomizing gas passes from a channel in the casing through the ports 39a to the chamber 40. The nozzles are detachably threaded on the head 8 and the outer nozzle 25 is provided with a renewable tip.
