Abstract
393,230. Liquid-fuel injectors. JUNKERS, H., 21, Kaiserplatz, Dessau, Anhalt, Germany. Feb. 2, 1933, No. 3214. Convention date, Feb. 10, 1932. Addition to 380,687. [Class 7 (iii).] The injector described in the parent Specification is modified so that, instead of fuel being supplied through a bore in the member 2, it is fed to a space between the members 1, 2 ; the surfaces 20, 21 serve to seal this space, which may be sufficiently narrow to constitute a filter. As shown in Fig. 1, a cap 5 holds the fuel feed pipe 7 against the member 2. In the modified construction shown in Fig. 3, the fuel feed pipe 7 is secured to a branch 24 of the body 1 by a cap 25, and the fuel traverses passages 26, 27 to the top of the annular space 28. In a further construction, the member 2 completely fills the body 1 above the level of the fuel admission orifice to the annular space ; thus spaces not traversed by the fuel are avoided.
