Abstract

392,604. Eye instruments. WOLINSKI, B., 62, Whitechapel Road, London. Nov. 16, 1931, No. 31610. [Class 81 (ii).] An instrument for measuring the intraocular pressure of the eyeball comprises a rod A slidably mounted in, and projecting slightly beyond, a sleeve B, itself slidable in a frame I. The rod A has a pointed end bearing against a weighted lever F movable over a scale G. The sleeve B has a collar C bearing against a lever D which carries a pointer E. In use the rod A is pressed into the eyeball and the position of the lever F noted when movement of the pointer E indicates contact of the sleeve B with the eyeball. Additional weights may be applied to the lever F if required.
