Abstract
392,171. Floors. BEANEY, H., 51, Oundle Avenue, Bushey, Hertfordshire, SHIPWRIGHT, W. G. and ANDERSON, J. G., Gaywood House, Wood Street, Westminster. Nov. 10, 1931, No. 31157. [Class 20 (iv).] Hollow tiles 2, supported from joists 1 by rods 3 and clips 4 engaging the upper flanged edges of the tiles, are spaced apart longitudinally of the joists by intervening tiles 7 which are supported from the main tiles 2. In the construction shown, the tiles 7 are supported by flanged plates 9 which also serve to close the openings 14 in the tiles 2. Other tiles 15, arranged under the joists, are supported from the lower flanged edges 17 of the main tiles. The channels formed between the latter are filled in with concrete, reinforcing-rods 19 being supported on the intervening tiles. In a modification (not shown), the tiles 7 may be of channel section with _upper flanged edges supported directly from the tiles 2.
