Abstract
392,097. Rollers. SCHEIBE, P., 132, Gutenbergstrasse, Ehrenfeld, Cologne, Germany. Nov. 23, 1932, No. 33057. Convention date, Nov. 23, 1931. [Class 42 (ii).] The flexible covering g of a mangle roller is supported by numerous rigid surfaced members pressed outwards to a limited extent only by springs. As shown in Figs. 6 and 7, the members e are leaf-shaped and overlap and are pivoted on rods d parallel to the axis of the roller threaded through holes in rings c surrounding the roller. The springs b threaded on the rods d force the members e outwards until their tails e<1> contact with the roller body a. As shown in Figs. 8 and 10, the members i are stool-shaped and are forced outwards by springs l threaded on the rods d, one end of each spring embracing the adjacent rod and the other l<1> being in contact with the roller body a. Projections i<2> contact with the rings c to limit the inwards motion of the members i.
