Abstract

391,874. Piston apparatus for discharging receptacles. FLOWER, W., 19, Derby Street, Barnsley, Yorkshire. Nov. 11, 1931, No. 31215. [Class 102 (ii).] In a container for pasty substances, of the type in which a plunger 3 screws into a container 1, an extrusion orifice 4 being provided in the container or in the plunger, the base 9 of the plunger screws into an outer casing 6. In the form shown the top of the casing is approximately level with the end 7 of the plunger and a cap 14 is provided. The plunger is hollow and is closed by a plug 12 carrying a lipstick. In a modification the casing 6 is of greater length than the plunger and container. The plunger, which has an intermediate portion of reduced diameter, screws into one end of the casing and a plug carrying a lipstick screws into the other end.
