Abstract
390,652. Spraying-nozzles. HINDS, G. A., 11, The Lees, Malvern, Worcestershire. April 28, 1932, No. 12226. [Class 69 (iii).] In a spraynozzle fitting having sprayregulating means and a filter, the filter c, Figs. 1 and 2, is held within the tube a by the screw part b. The filter is braced by internal plates s and is flattened towards the lower end. One of the plates s is extended and supported by a ring e having channels f to collect any solid matter. The screw part b contains the regulating means which comprises a cylindrical block g with fluid bores h and a central bore to take the stem i of a perforated flanged disc j. A spring p holds these two parts together and by rotating the disc j the apertures k, therein can be adjusted relatively to the fluid bores h in the block g. The edges of the apertures k, l and the outer edges of the bores h are chamfered to produce a deflection of the streams passing through. A jet plate n is held on the flanges of the disc j by a screw cap o. The nozzle and regulating assemblage can be obliquely mounted on the tube a, Fig. 6 (not shown).
