[Class 60.] A floor-surfacing machine of the type comprising a pair of interconnected vertical spindles 2 carrying rotary grinding members 5 and driven by a motor mounted on a carriage 1 is fitted with wheels 7 which roll on the floor 6, the wheels being mounted on an axle 8 which is supported in eccentric apertures 10 in bushes 11 carried in brackets 9 integral with the carriage. By rotation of the bushes 11 the carriage and grinders are raised or lowered relatively to the floor.
