Abstract

491,689. Roller mills. SIMON, Ltd., H., and FREROTTE, A. March 6, 1937, No. 27489. Divided out of 482,481 under which a Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts. Jan. 26, 1938. [Class 59] In a mill having two pairs of rollers each pair is driven at one end of the mill by a motor through a train of gear wheels. The roller 3 has a gear 10 attached thereto which is driven by a motor pinion 8. This pinion also drives roller 2 through compound pinion 12, 9 and. gear wheel 14. The roller 2 is adjustable toward the roller 3 about a pivot 18. The casing 7 is in two parts, the lower part 5 carrying the driving motor 9a.
