Abstract

390,059. Scaffold clamps. RICH, I., Kent's Farm, Malthouse Lane, Hassocks; Sussex. Sept. 7, 1932, No. 24953. [Class 20 (ii).] A scaffold clamp of the kind described in Specification 374,366 comprising a U-shaped member 1, with a clamping plate 7 and screw 9, has a packing-piece 15 disposed between the poles and hinged to one side of the U-shaped member, and adapted to pass between the legs of the member. The packing-piece is grooved on one face in a direction parallel to the hinge to receive one pole, and the edges 19, 21 are grooved on the other face in a direction at right-angles to receive the other pole.
