Abstract
388,213. Duplex wireless signalling. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Marconi House, Strand, London. -(Assignees of Haigis, C. D. ; 204, Maple Avenue, Haddonfield, New Jersey, U.S.A.) Feb. 26, 1932, No. 5839. Convention date, March 4, 1931. [Class 40 (v).] A thermionic oscillator 1, 3 is used for both transmission and reception. The oscillator comprises a pair of valves with their input electrodes 7 in push-pull across a tuned input circuit 11, 12, and their output electrodes 9 in push-pull across a tuned output circuit 27, 29, which may be inductively coupled to the input circuit. A leaky-condenser system 15, 20 between the grids and cathodes 5 of the valves has a leakage periodicity preferably above audibility. High-tension for the valves passes through a modulation choke 35 in one arm of a balanced Wheatstone bridge 36. Modulating potentials are applied to one conjugate pair 47, 49 of points of the bridge, and received signal potentials are taken from the other pair 57, 59. A switch 16 may disconnect the grid condenser when the system is used for transmission.
