Abstract
388,100. Induction motors. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.- GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. Sept. 10, 1931, No. 25434. Convention date, Oct. 29, 1930. [Class 35.] Conductors.-In a squirrel-cage rotor some of the bars are of material of high tensile strength and the others of a different material of high conductivity, only one bar being fitted in each slot. In the form shown, the outer bars 13 are of high conductivity and the others, 15, which may be of iron or copper alloy, are riveted to pressure discs 16 which clamp the laminµ together. The end rings 14 may be integral with the pressure discs, and as a further alternative the two kinds of bars may be arranged alternately.
