Abstract
387,626. Cables. LIVERPOOL ELECTRIC CABLE CO., Ltd. and TWEEDLE, T. H., Linacre Lane, Bootle, Liverpool. Sept. 28, 1932, No. 26940. [Class 36.] An identification strip for a cable of the kind having an insulated core enclosed within a tough rubber protective sheath is formed of non-fibrons vulcanizable material and is applied to the insulated core before or during the process of sheathing the core so that the strip is vulcanized to the inner surface of the sheath. The strip, which is preferably of rubber tape pigmented to a different colour from the sheath and bears printed &c. matter, may be disposed spirally or axially of the cable.
