[Class 87 (ii)] [Also in Group XXV] A process for cover ing electrical conductors consists in producing bands 5, 5<SP>1</SP> of insulating material on calender rolls 2, 3, 2<SP>1</SP>, 3<SP>1</SP> and feeding them to other calender rolls 6, 6<SP>1</SP> and thence to grooved covering rolls 7, 7<SP>1</SP>, between which the conductors are passed. The rolls are preferably enclosed in a casing 9 and are heated. The process is suitable for use with tough materials such as polyvinyl halogenides, mixed vinyl polymerisates and synthetic rubber hydrocarbons.
