Abstract
387,532. Fastenings. MASSUGER, L., 6, Boulevard d'Italie, Le Vesinet, and MARQUE, L., 16, Rue de Sartoris, La Garenne, Seine, both in France. March 24, 1932, No. 8798. [Class 44.] A motor-car bonnet-fastening comprises a spring-pressed hook member which is operated by a cam-shaped lever pivoted to the bonnet. The hook 3, Fig. 1, is guided by studs 7, 8 so that as it is depressed by the cam-shaped end 12 of a lever 4, it swings away from the retaining lug 16. In a modification the hook is guided by one stud 31, Fig. 8, which acts in conjunction with a fixed ramp 40. The hook is maintained in engagement with the lug 16 by a lever 43 which is engaged by a stud 41 carried by the cam 34. In a further modification the hook 19, Fig. 5, is of tubular form and is rotated about its axis as it is depressed.
