Abstract
386,729. Switchgear structures. AKT.-GES. BROWN, BOVERI, ET CIE, Baden, Switzerland. Oct. 6, 1931, No. 27725. Convention date, Oct. 15, 1930. [Class 38 (v).] A switchgear structure for connecting a feeder to a ring-main comprises a totally-enclosed chamber 8 containing the current transformers 9 and potential transformers, the chamber being located between the top 6 of the power oil switch chamber 11 and the bottom 7 of the chamber 3 of the oil-immersed bus-bar disconnecting switches 1. An integral casting provides also a chamber 14 for the relays and measuring instruments. The movable members 1 are arranged to open with a quick action and, in the closed position, to be collinear with the bus-bars 2, and funnels 15 for each bus-bar are arranged beneath closeable openings for testing or earthing the appropriate bus-bar. A cover 10 of the intermediate chamber 8 is suitably interlocked with the various switches and the latter are also indirectly interlocked with the lowering gear for the tank 11. Indicators for the bus-bar switches 1 may be provided.
