Abstract

386,247. Casting processes. POLLAK, J. E., 20, Holborn, London.- (Vereinigte Aluminium-Werke Akt.-Ges.; Lautawerk Lausitz, Germany.) July 16, 1932, No. 20239. [Class 83 (i).] To produce a uniformly fine crystal structure in a cast ingot the mould is shaken during solidification, the intensity and frequency of the shaking being gradually reduced, say from 1,120 blows per minute, during solidification. The mould is preferably inverted after pouring.
