385,274. Photo-mechanical printing- surfaces. KALLE & CO. AKT.-GES., 23, Rheinstrasse, Biebrich, Wiesbaden, Germany. March 16, 1931, No. 8098. Convention date, March 15, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. Addition to 368,083. [Class 98 (ii).] The planographic printing-plates prepared from sheets of cellulose derivative saponified at the non-printing parts as in the parent Specification, are provided with light-sensitive material incorporated in the sheets and are then exposed to light, the parts of the sheet which have been exposed being thus rendered more difficultly saponifiable. The sheets can be sensitized by adding a solution of the sensitizing-agent, preferably a chromate, to the solution of the cellulose derivative and preparing a sheet therefrom or by causing a solution of the sensitizing-agent in a solvent for the cellulose derivative to act on the sheet.
