Abstract

178,884. Gestetner, D. Dec. 15,1920. Stencils on a Yoshino or similar porous base are produced photographically by forming a silver image and causing it to interact chemicallv with a composition, as for example bichromated gelatine, in order to change the solubility of the composition in a medium used as a developer. The silver image may be treated as in the " Ozobrome " or " Carbro " or like methods of piqment printing, as for example in a bath of bichromate, a ferricyanide, and a bromide. The image may be produced directly on the Yoshino base, or on a temporary support and transferred.
