Abstract

384,435. Driving-belts. WHITTLE, O. L., Rose & Crown Street, Warrington, Lancashire. Dec. 4, 1931, No. 33600. [Class 80 (i).] In a link belt in which pairs of non-metallic blocks are interconnected by metal links 8 having end pivots 7 engaging holes in the blocks, each block comprises an inside plate 4 of vulcanized fibre or like material and an outside plate 5 of rubber or rubber-impregnated material, opposite blocks being secured together, and the inside and outside members of each of the blocks being held together, by means of screws 9, 10 inserted from opposite sides of the blocks above and below the centre line.
