340,065. Driving-belts. BRAMMER, H., Vesper Mount, Vesper Road, Kirkstall, Leeds. Oct. 14, 1929, No. 31083. [Class 80 (i).] ] Leather, rubber, &c. V-driving-belts are built up of tapered links of uniform thickness, a stud 20 being riveted in the end of each link adjacent its semicircular end 2 and projecting inwards to be passed through modified key-hole slots in the adjacent t links. The slots may be formed in pairs, the head 21 of the stud entering a hole 17 and being passed through a slit 19 into a hole 18, or in sets in which the head 21 enters a hole 12 and may be passed either into a hole 15 or into a hole 16, the number of such sets or holes depending upon the number of links to be secured by each stud. Owing to the tapered form of the links, the belt is of V-form in cross-section. The holes 15, 16, 18 may be elongated so as to allow freedom of the studs while the belt is passing over the pulleys. Specification 153,712, [Class 80 (i), Gearing, Belt &c.], is referred to.
