Abstract
383,568. Bottle capsules. FALTLHAUSER, W., 1, Odeonsplatz, Munich, Germany. May 28, 1932, No. 15216. Convention date, Aug. 26,1931. [Class 125 (iii).] A securing-ring for spreading capsule seals for bottles &c. of the type having thickened edges, has one or both edges bent outwardly by rolling or flanging over. Fig. 2a shows the spreading capsule seal and Fig. 4 shows the sealing-ring, made from a strip having securing teeth g, which are rolled over, and an opening lug f. The ends may be riveted together. The ring may be a closed one and adapted to be opened by tearing away a weakened part, it may be of varying width and wound around the seal twice, or it may hold, between its two flanged edges, a ring of pasteboard, metal, &c. In one construction, a part of the ring is constricted, which, it is stated, has the effect of preventing unauthorized removal of the ring.
