Abstract

382,857. Freezing spray. SANDER, M., 4, Toompuiestee, Tallinn, Esthonia, March 12,1932, No. 7440. [Class 29.] Apparatus for freezing a spray of liquid before it reaches the collecting container comprises a freezing chamber having one or more nozzles 3 for the atomization of the liquid and collecting containers 4 carried on a movable support. The portion of the freezing chamber through which the liquid is sprayed into tha container 4 is of pyramidical shape. The whole chamber is surrounded by a freezing jacket containing tubes 9 for the circulation of a freezing medium such as ammonia.. The containers may be carried on the rim of a wheel as in Figs. 1 or 2, or they may be carried on a belt as in Fig. 6, or they may be carried on large removable trays. They may also be carried on an annular horizontal platform, Fig. 5 showing a section through the path of the containers at a point where they pass under one of the pyramidical spraying chambers while Fig. 4 shows a section through the path between spraying chambers where a door 12 is provided to remove the containers 4.
