Abstract
382,631. Electric signalling systems. CHADBURN'S (SHIP) TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. and BAMFORD, A. C., Cyprus Road, Bootle, Lancashire. July 25, 1931, No. 21284. [Class 40 (i).] In an order type apparatus the transmitter and receiver are of substantially identical construction so that orders may be transmitted in either direction. When the arm 15 at the transmitter is moved to a new position circuits are completed for the lamp O at the receiver corresponding to the new position of the transmitter arm, the lamp O at the transmitter corresponding to the position of the receiver arm, and for the relay 10 which closes circuits for lamps 14 and alarms 13 at both instruments. The receiver arm is moved into the position indicated by the glowing lamp, whereupon all lamps are extinguished and the alarms cease to function.
