Surplus paint returns to the receptacle through a tube l, that from the stencil passing through an aperture p protected by a cover-plate o. The receptacle f is detachably crewed into a bracket e on which the casing g is adapted to swivel about the tube l; a screw g<3> fixed to the casing passes through a guide-slot g<4> in the bracket, and a pin n engaging recesses m retains the casing in a central or in either of two intermediate positions. The nozzle d is rotatable within a sleeve d<1> and is connected by a bent pipe to a filter cage h, the weight of which always moves the pipe to the lowest part of the receptacle.
