Abstract
381,746. Supply meters. LANDIS ET GYR SOC. ANON., 1, Hofstrasse, Zug, Switzerland. Nov. 9, 1931, No. 31068. Convention date, Nov. 11, 1930. [Class 37.] In order to overcome the frictional resistance of contact mechanism associated with electricity or other rotary meters for energizing subsidiary circuits, and wherein a motor switching mechanism is employed, the exciting circuit of the motor is closed and opened alternately by the meter and motor. The meter contact comprises springs 3, 4 alternately contacting with a central member 2 and completing the circuit of the field winding 22, rotation of the cam 20 on the motor shaft 13 closing contacts 16, 17 in the subsidiary circuit 15. The circuit 15 may be employed for the distant transmission and summation of measured magnitudes. The cam 14 on the motor shaft prepares either contact spring 10, 11 for the next metering impulse. Instead of a spring contacting device 2, 4, a commutator type of switch may be employed.
